    Hi Hamster Gill,
    I though I'd finally get around to coming over and sampling some of your art.  I like the Crystal Queen (okay I spelled it wrongly as well, lol) image you produced as well as a few of the others.  I to have had a wacky sort of life, well I did until I turned 40 just over a decade ago and decided to settle down finally with my then girlfriend who I 'picked up' while helping out the lecturers on a marine biology field course during my post graduate studies.  I'm also disabled now due to a road traffic accident in Sept 2005. I won't go into details as this is your site and although I'm notorious for waffling on, (partly due to the morphine I suspect) this isn't the right place.  :)  As Freeware Fan says an impressive site.  I look forwards to seeing more of your creations. 
     
    Hey what about having a section for invited vistors to post their images as well, following your approval of course.  We could write short articles on how we produced the pieces.  Until my accident I spent a lot of time  'playing around with photographs that I've taken, trying to create art from them, using various filters and maiinly photoshops.   The forum could be a great place for people to swap ideas and give advice on how to do's etc.  (only an idea)
     
    You're welcome to Email; me any time as I'm virtually always on line, either that or sleeping and dreaming my life away.  I'm attempting to get myself inspired again so that I can take up where I left off; though it's going to take me a while to refamiliarize myself with all the programs, and filters I have.  I need to reinstall everything first though.

    Hi There!!  I finally found my way here.  After your very nice invite, I just had to make time for you.  Couldn't resist, not for all the freeware in the world! Wink

    You've done a lot here, and a good job of it too.  Well done!  I spent about 15 mins looking at your art, and I'm impressed.  You have a very creative mind, and it shows in your work.   I strolled around, looking for pictures of the family on the walls, but didn't see any..  You know how it is, going to someone's house for the first time, you take a look around, just to try to get an idea of the kind of person they are, how they live, things like that? 

    So, for the first visit, I'd better not overstay my welcome.  You have my email address now, if you feel like talking or asking anything, just drop me a line.  I check mail all the time, so it shouldn't take me long to get back to you.  Thanks for the invite, and I really enjoyed the coffee, almost as much as I enjoyed the company!

Simply put...if you're here from GOTD, then please leave your e-mail somewhere, like in a message - this way its possible for us to have a "private" conversation, okay?!  Don't worry about me spamming you - I'm a lousy correspondent!, but it would be nice to be able to communicate when the mood strikes.  After all, you did come all this way to find me!

PQ TALKING PHOTO

This has to be seen to be believed!  Make sure you check out the video section below - when you're done chuckling, click one of the buttons below the screen (to the left of the words "Talking Photo") and it will take you to the site.  Why do I like it?  Because unlike some of the big name commercial packages out there, it's an affordable way for someone who doesn't mega-computer experience, to be able to animate their photos for whatever their reason may be.

1st Impressions

Well, first impressions are important....so I'll make it easy for you - nothing is my fault...blame it on the cat...yes, cats and rodents can live together, but mine is kinda new and she's even crazier than I am.  Plus, she loves this computer, I'm always catching her sending e-mails and ordering out for pizza, and deleting my files, screwing with my printer, and eating my headset (parts of this really are true!).  So, if something looks like a particularly stupid error on my part, its really Callie's.  Okay?

Now, what else?  I really just your typical San Francisco Bay Area hamster who happens to be in her late 40's and is/has been "disabled" (whatever that means).  People who know me have said I have lived an interesting life....maybe i'll share some of it here (not that I think you all are just breathlessly waiting for my story), but I will say its been a fun one, and an extremely social one at that. So social, in fact, that i finally decided to disappear - after all, we hamsters are solitary creatures, and do quite well on our own.  Now i did have the company of several other like minded friends,  like my Rodent Sister (who has since gone to the great rat nest in the sky) and my good pal Catgril. but for the most part this computer has been my first foray out into humanity in well, years.  And that is enough for tonight......
